Softball Recap: Springville Has No Trouble Against Murray

Springville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Murray Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooklynn Richardson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Morgan Fairbourne also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Richardson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Springville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. Springville is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Springville's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Murray, their record now sits at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Springville will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Jordan at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Murray, they will take on Skyline in a tournament on Friday.
