Soccer Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross entered their matchup against Riverside on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Crusaders lost 4-1 to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Holy Cross can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Riverside are ranked 139th).

Holy Cross' goal came courtesy of Jamie Prislupski, who's now up to ten this season.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Riverside, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Holy Cross is set to square off against their familiar foe Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside will take on rival Blue Ridge at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
