Softball Game Preview: Fox Creek Predators vs. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers

The Fox Creek Predators will venture away from home to challenge the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Predators fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. Everything went their way against Spring Valley on Saturday as Fox Creek made off with a 16-10 victory.

Meanwhile, Batesburg-Leesville was not able to secure the win in their season-opener last Thursday. They and Clinton finished up on equal footing with an 11-11 tie. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Everything went Fox Creek's way against Batesburg-Leesville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Fox Creek made off with a 17-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fox Creek since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
