Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McAlester). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Edison Eagles 38-0. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Jordan Clark, who rushed for 113 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. Jaxon McKinney was another key player, gaining 144 total yards.

McAlester's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McAlester is set to take on their familiar foe East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edison will square off against rival Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
