Basketball Recap: Cromwell Piles Up the Points Against Kelley

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cromwell walked away with it. They blew past the Kelley Mariners, posting a 73-20 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 20 points or more this season.

Cromwell found their leader in sophomore Shannon Lund, who went 10-for-14 en route to 24 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lund has scored all season. Isabella Anderson was another key player, going 8-for-15 on her way to 16 points and six steals.

Cromwell was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They are 21-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Cromwell's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Kelley, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cherry will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Cromwell surely won't give up without a fight. Kelley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
