Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Coy Martinez and Nolan Martinez Lead Winters to Victory + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Winters, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Sterling City Eagles on Friday. This was payback for the Blizzards, who suffered a 45-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Winters to victory were Nolan Martinez and Coy Martinez. Nolan picked up 110 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Coy threw for 158 yards and three TDs.

Winters didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Haydin Collins, Ajay Soto, and Jayton Flores picked up one apiece. Flores is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Winters' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sterling City, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will venture away from home to challenge Iraan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling City, they will take on Christoval at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
