Basketball Game Preview: Blissfield Royals vs. Hudson Tigers

The Blissfield Royals will face off against the Hudson Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blissfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Hudson likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Blissfield strolled past Dundee with points to spare, taking the game 66-47. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hudson faced off against Onsted on Tuesday. Hudson took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Onsted. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 52nd).

Blissfield pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Hudson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Blissfield didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Hudson in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Will Blissfield repeat their success, or does Hudson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
