Valencia's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Buena Park Coyotes. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Katelynn Hildreth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Valencia let Lucy Ann Enomoto and Sophia Avina run wild. Enomoto scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Avina went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Avina launched this season. Another player making a difference was Aliza Mindiola, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Valencia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Valencia's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Buena Park, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Valencia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-8 win against Katella on the 4th. As for Buena Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Lakeside on the 5th.
