Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Elk). They claimed a resounding 72-44 victory over the Sedan Devils. With the Patriots ahead 39-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading West Elk to victory were Garett Usry and Maddex Moreno. Usry on his way to 26 points and five steals, while Moreno to rack up 18 points along with six steals and five assists. Moreno has become a key player for West Elk: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 7-9 otherwise. Gage Cook was another key player, putting up four points.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: West Elk was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sedan only seven assists.
