Basketball Game Preview: Beachside Barracudas vs. Gainesville Hurricanes

The Beachside Barracudas will face off against the Gainesville Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beachside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Gainesville likes a good challenge.

Beachside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-43 win over Orange Park. The victory continues a trend for the Barracudas in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Beachside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Cremen out in front who posted eight points along with nine assists and seven steals. That's the most assists Cremen has posted since back in January of 2024. Kendall Kane was another key player, putting up 15 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Gainesville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the Trojans, posting a 66-28 victory. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Gainesville's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Beachside, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
