Basketball Recap: Larimore's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] last Saturday, Larimore came back down to earth. 2025 welcomed the Larimore Polar Bears with a 67-43 loss courtesy of the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Polar Bears in their matchups with the Aggies: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Larimore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Baron Burns went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gratton, who posted five points and four steals.

Larimore's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Larimore will square off against Langdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, they will face off against Midway/Minto at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
