 Mooresville had to endure  an  11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the South Rowan Raiders  3-1. The  win was just what Mooresville needed coming off of  a  14-2 loss in their prior  game.
  Eli Bodine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

 Mooresville's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-9. As for South Rowan,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-5.
 Mooresville will head out on the road to  square off against  Hickory Ridge at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Mooresville will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last. As for South Rowan, they will be playing at home against Lake Norman Charter at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lake Norman Charter will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something South Rowan surely won't give up without a fight.
