Softball Recap: Prospect Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Four

Prospect Mountain waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Berlin Mountaineers a 12-0 shutout. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Alexis Wilson made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Tori Christie was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Paityn Glidden was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Prospect Mountain's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Berlin, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

As of now, neither Prospect Mountain nor the Mountaineers have any future games scheduled.
