Football Recap: Jackson Central Merry Falls to Jackson North Side in First Game of Season

Jackson Central Merry unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Jackson North Side Indians by a score of 22-20 on Friday. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Terell Williams threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns.

The critical scores for Jackson North Side came from Jaron Simpson, Quinn Jenkins, and Javonte Smith.

Coincidentally, Jackson Central Merry and Jackson North Side will both be playing Jackson South Side the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
