Football Game Preview: Fort Worth Country Day Falcons vs. Oakridge Owls

The Fort Worth Country Day Falcons will challenge the Oakridge Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fort Worth Country Day comes in on three and Oakridge on nine.

Fort Worth Country Day will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Houston Christian, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 32-20 on Friday.

A big part of Fort Worth Country Day's win came down to the chemistry between Cooper Paul and his top target Canaan Factor. Paul threw for 325 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes while Factor picked up 140 receiving yards and one TD. Those 325 passing yards gave Paul a new career-high.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Oakridge against KIPP Sunnyside on Saturday as the squad secured a 51-18 victory. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won five contests by 33 points or more so far this season.

Oakridge's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Fort Worth Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Fort Worth Country Day strolled past Oakridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 26-8. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
