Softball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Beats Treasure Coast for Their Fourth Straight Win

John Carroll Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Treasure Coast Titans with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Mikale Lemons was a standout: she scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Makayla Ortiz, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

John Carroll Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Treasure Coast struck out six times.

John Carroll Catholic's record is now 14-4. As for Treasure Coast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

John Carroll Catholic will be taking part in a tournament against Immokalee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Treasure Coast, they will venture away from home to challenge Jupiter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
