            Softball Recap: Huntingtown Hurricanes vs. Westlake Wolverines        
        
		
        
        
            After only one  run in their last  contest, Huntingtown made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Westlake  on Friday. The Hurricanes never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with  a   21-0  victory. The  win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won six in a row.

 Jordyn Greever made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Huntingtown let  Madisyn Williamson and  Kayla Ripple run wild. Williamson  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs and three  RBI, while  Ripple  went a perfect 5-for-5 with three  RBI and two  runs. Those  three  runs gave  Williamson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Madalee Hunley, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Huntingtown  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .644. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Huntingtown's record now sits at 11-2. As for Westlake,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 Looking ahead, Huntingtown will head out to  face off against Churchill  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Westlake has  already played their next  matchup (against Lackey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
