Volleyball Recap: Hahnville Takes a Loss

If Hahnville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lakeshore on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Chipmunks since September 18, 2018.

While Hahnville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Avah Gilchrist, who had 19 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since September 3rd. Gianna DeLuca also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hahnville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Archbishop Chapelle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Hahnville will square off against South Lafourche at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they will take on John Ehret at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
