Volleyball Recap: Joplin Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Joplin can now relate to. They came up short against the Ozark Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-9, 25-10.

Ozark's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Andela led the charge by getting seven digs and two aces. What's more, Andela racked up six assists, the most she's had over her last nine matchups.

Joplin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-27-1. As for Ozark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 31-2.

Joplin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ozark, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Kickapoo on the 25th.
