Hudson hadn't done well against South Hamilton recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since June 21, 2025.

The victory made it two in a row for Hudson and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for South Hamilton, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
