Lewis & Clark lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Shadle Park, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Tigers put the hurt on the Highlanders with a sharp 18-9 win on Tuesday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kara Goetz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
