Volleyball Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Forsyth on Monday, Glenn came back down to earth. The Bobcats lost 3-0 to the Oak Grove Grizzlies on Wednesday. The Bobcats have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-4.

Savanna Parsons paced Glenn's offense, picking up three kills. Parsons were helped by Makenzie Cheatham and Kendall Fraas, who contributed two assists each.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hollis Fitzgerald, who had 19 assists. Emma High was another key player, getting 15 assists.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Oak Grove, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Glenn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Mount Tabor on the 22nd. As for Oak Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against North Davidson on the 22nd.
