Football Recap: Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Comes Up Short at Home Against Manor New Tech

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 47-21 to Manor New Tech on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Manor New Tech's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Alijah Young and Jaiden Hargis. Young picked up 124 receiving yards and two TDs while Hargis rushed for 19 yards and one touchdown. Young's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards.

Coming up, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin will head out to take on Eastside Early College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manor New Tech, they will be playing at home against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
