Volleyball Recap: Argonaut Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Argonaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hughson Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Argonaut took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

AJ Schultz paced Argonaut's offense, picking up six kills. Schultz got some help from Mia Maggi and her ten assists. Ashlee Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Argonaut now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hughson, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Argonaut will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hughson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mariposa County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
