Baseball Recap: Norview Comes Up Short

Norview and Warwick squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Norview had to settle for second. They fell 7-3 to the Raiders.

Andrew Ludwig was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Ludwig was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases. He has become a key player for Norview: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-11 otherwise.

Ludwig wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jamil Moreta, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Norview's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Warwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Norview nor Warwick have any future games scheduled.
