Basketball Recap: Algonac Takes a Loss

Algonac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 60-16 loss at the hands of the Yale Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Muskrats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 78th).

Algonac's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Yale, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Algonac will face off against North Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yale, they will head out to face off against Almont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Almont: they have been struggling with nine straight losses at home, while Yale has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
