Wahkiakum scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 23-13 to the Naselle Comets. The loss continues a trend for the Mules in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost five in a row.

Amy Horman and Evy Hogue did some serious damage despite the final result: Horman scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Hogue went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. RayLynne Ogle was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Wahkiakum's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Naselle, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Coming up, Wahkiakum will welcome Oakville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Naselle, they will head out on the road to face off against Toutle Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ducks have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
