Soccer Recap: Grosse Ile Comes Up Short

Grosse Ile lost to Huron last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Devils lost 8-0 to the Chiefs. While losing is never fun, Grosse Ile can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Huron are ranked 26th).

Grosse Ile's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3. As for Huron, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

While Grosse Ile had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
