Tippecanoe Valley piles up the points against Riverton Parke

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season. They really took it to Riverton Parke for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-14 victory on the road. That 63-14 margin sets a new team best for Tippecanoe Valley this season.

Tippecanoe Valley found their leader in underclassman Lucy Hayden, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Hayden scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Dalynne Bussard, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Riverton Parke struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Tippecanoe Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Riverton Parke, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Tippecanoe Valley is on the road again on Saturday and play against University at 12:00 p.m. on December 23rd. University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Tippecanoe Valley is ranked 36th). Riverton Parke and Western Boone will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
