Basketball Recap: Bullitt East Chargers vs. Meade County Green Waves
The Bullitt East Chargers were the 62-47 winner over the Meade County Green Waves when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bullitt East took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Waves on Tuesday.
Leading Meade County to victory were Paige Medley and Annabelle Babb. Medley scored 21 points along with three steals, while Babb scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Peyton Bradley, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bullitt East dropped their record down to 10-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Meade County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Bullitt East will be playing in front of their home fans against the Commanders at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Washington County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Chargers are ranked 56th). As for Meade County, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
