Wekiva had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Jones Fightin' Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

While Wekiva won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11, 25-22.

Sarai McFadden paced Wekiva's offense, picking up 11 kills. McFadden got some help from Isabella Espada and her 19 assists. Elyanna Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Jones is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Wekiva will challenge Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jones, they will face off against Ocoee at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
