Softball Recap: San Marino Takes a Loss

San Marino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 17-13 to the Monrovia Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in March.

San Marino got a massive performance out of Kayla Giddings, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kayla Wu, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Monrovia, they pushed their record up to 6-12-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

San Marino wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 loss against La Canada on the 16th. As for Monrovia, they will take on Temple City at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
