Football Game Preview: Rockford Auburn Knights vs. Boylan Catholic Titans + How To Watch

Rockford Auburn is 2-7 against Boylan Catholic since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Knights will take on the Titans at 7:15 p.m. Rockford Auburn will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Rockford Auburn is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 40-26 victory over Rockford East on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Rockford Auburn got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Sanders out in front who rushed for 117 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. Peter Eziagulu was another key rusher, rushing for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rockford Auburn was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic came up short against Belvidere on Friday and fell 37-28.

Boylan Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rockford Auburn, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Rockford Auburn was taken down by Boylan Catholic 41-8 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
