Baseball Recap: Barnesville Trojans vs. Perham Yellowjackets

Barnesville extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-13. They lost 22-2 to the Perham Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Tuesday.

As for Perham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Considering they have won 11 contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Perham's part, Bradyn Anderson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Anderson posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Gavin Griffin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Aanenson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
