Baseball Recap: Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons vs. East Lake Eagles
Charlotte and East Lake squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Charlotte had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the East Lake Eagles.
Charlotte got a good showing from Dalton Hill, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Hill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Charlotte saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edwin Feliciano, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
On East Lake's side, they got a great performance from Jackson Krukonis as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Jayden Harriel was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Eli Millian, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Charlotte dropped their record down to 14-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for East Lake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-3.
