Basketball Game Preview: Rothsay Tigers vs. Hancock Owls

Rothsay is 0-8 against Hancock since December of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rothsay Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Hancock Owls at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Rothsay is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Brandon/Evansville.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hancock). They blew past Parkers Prairie, posting an 87-55 victory.

Rothsay's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hancock, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-5.

Things could have been worse for Rothsay, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-48 loss to Hancock in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Rothsay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
