Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-43 to the Hamilton County Foxes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Foxes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-52 last Thursday.

Hamilton County was led to victory by Rayci Phelps and Kylah Parkhill. Phelps went 8-for-12 en route to 25 points, while Parkhill went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points. What's more, Phelps also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

Fairfield now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Hamilton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamilton County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.
