Football Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. Monmouth-Roseville Titans

The Hall Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Monmouth-Roseville Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hall and Princeton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The contest between the Red Devils and the Tigers didn't end well, with the Red Devils falling 27-12. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Monmouth-Roseville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Sherrard to the tune of 49-13. With the Titans ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Hall better keep an eye on Landon Montroy. He was instrumental in Monmouth-Roseville's win, rushing for 84 yards and a pair of TDs.

One reason for the win was Monmouth-Roseville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nick Huston, Cody Johnson, and Andrew Way, who each picked up one sack apiece. Monmouth-Roseville got some further help from Huston: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Monmouth-Roseville's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Hall was able to grind out a solid victory over Monmouth-Roseville in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, winning 40-32. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
