Parkview hadn't done well against Peachtree Ridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lions. The win was all the more spectacular given Parkview's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Peachtree Ridge are ranked 17th).

Parkview's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for Peachtree Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
