Needville has gone 10-0 against Stafford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Needville Bluejays will challenge the Stafford Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Needville took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against La Marque by a score of 3-1.

Maylee Smith and Gracie Kelly scored all three of Needville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Stafford came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they left with even more momentum. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Stafford who was credited with the victory. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Needville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Stafford, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Needville took their victory against Stafford in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Needville since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
