Volleyball Recap: Buford Takes a Loss

Buford and Philip Simmons squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Buford had to settle for second. They came up short against the Iron Horses, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2020.

Philip Simmons can attribute much of their success to Catherine Futch, who had 16 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Futch has posted since back in September.

The defeat snapped Buford's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-7 record. As for Philip Simmons, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 36-5.

As of now, neither Buford nor the Iron Horses have any future games scheduled.
