Softball Recap: Walter Panas Triumphs

The Walter Panas Panthers earned an 8-5 win over the Irvington Bulldogs on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Julia Morales was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Maddie Malfant was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Walter Panas' victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Irvington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Coming up, Walter Panas will be playing at home against Edgemont at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgemont has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something Walter Panas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Irvington, they will head out on the road to take on Croton-Harmon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
