Soccer Game Preview: George C. Marshall vs. Washington-Liberty

George C. Marshall is 0-5 against Washington-Liberty since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Statesmen will head out on the road to challenge the Generals at 7:15 p.m. George C. Marshall's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Thursday, George C. Marshall didn't have quite enough to beat Centreville and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty entered their tilt with South Lakes last Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Seahawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 1, 2018, but that streak is no more.

George C. Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for Washington-Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

George C. Marshall couldn't quite get it done against Washington-Liberty when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Statesmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
