Xavier College Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-45 W against the Sunnyslope Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Gators: when they faced off against the Vikings back in January, they had to take a 41-34 loss.

Xavier College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sade Charles led the charge by shooting 46% from the field en route to 17 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sariah McNabb, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, Sunnyslope still got an impressive performance from Maggie Luba, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards. The contest was Luba's sixth in a row with at least 15 points.

Xavier College Prep's record now sits at 15-10. As for Sunnyslope, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Coincidentally, Xavier College Prep and Sunnyslope will both be playing Millennium the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Gators will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
