Baseball Recap: Southwick Regional Comes Up Short

Southwick Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Agawam Brownies. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Brownies when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southwick Regional saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Garvey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Garvey has got this season.

Southwick Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Agawam, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Southwick Regional is taking a road trip to take on Putnam Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Agawam, they will host Longmeadow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Brownies surely won't give up without a fight.
