Baseball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Lampeter-Strasburg had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Garden Spot Spartans 13-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2018.

Cayden See and Brady Scranton made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, See tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Scranton tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits See has allowed since back in May of 2024. At bat, See scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Scranton went 1-for-2 with two RBI. See also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Williams, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another was Logan Leaman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Lampeter-Strasburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Lampeter-Strasburg's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Garden Spot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
