Volleyball Game Preview: Grayson Christian vs. Alvord Bulldogs

Grayson Christian will challenge the Alvord Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grayson Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Howe 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for Grayson Christian, who have now won seven games in a row dating back to last season.

Grayson Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 28-30, 25-18, 25-20, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Alvord had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Valley View 3-0. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Alvord never let Valley View on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 25-22.
