Basketball Recap: Thrall Takes a Loss

Thrall was the 66-45 winner over Franklin when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Thrall Tigers were beaten by the Franklin Lions 61-25 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1551st, while the Lions are ranked 562nd).

Thrall's defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Franklin, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Rogers the next time they take the court. Franklin will host Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Thrall will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
