Barron and Chetek-Weyerhaeuser are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Golden Bears will face off against the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Barron has four straight victories, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Barron barely beat Cameron the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Bears were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Comets on Tuesday. Considering the Golden Bears have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Spooner hit Chetek-Weyerhaeuser with a seven-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Rails, falling 12-2.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Barron, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

Barron came out on top in a nail-biter against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
