Two dominant backs in Luke Jorgensen and Junior Curtis are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Poway Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Lincoln Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30.1 points per game this season.

Poway is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Torrey Pines 27-24.

Noah Schuback produced another solid effort rushing for 80 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.

A big part of Lincoln's win came down to the chemistry between Kainan Manna and his top target King David Christopher-Dunn. Manna threw for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes while Christopher-Dunn picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for Poway, their record now sits at 5-6.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Poway has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 169.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 233.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Poway took a serious blow against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in September of 2017, falling 50-13. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Titans were down 22-0.
